there have been recent lightning strikes in salem county. that system is moving toward the north. a new thunderstorm has popped up around mount airy and southern montgomery county. that is pushing off to the northeast. there may be lightning around trenton, as well. there are more thunderstorms down pike. wherever you see the yellow or red that could rain that could produce street flooding. 70 in allentown. where it isn't raining you have wet conditions on the roads from earlier rain and it is humid. we have dewpoints in the southern tier of the region, and northern tier, it is humid. 76 degrees by 8:00 a.m. in philadelphia. looks like an unsettled day. it's not as hot, but humid and unsettled. 77 by 9:00.
82 by 3. the high will be around 1:30 or 2:00 p.m. back in the mid 70s by 6:00 p.m. on and off throughout the day heavy downpours and thunderstorms possible. i'll track the storms on future tracker 6 ascertain give you a closer look at what's happening on storm tracker 6 live coming up. >> reporter: we're noticing lightning on the cameras, eastbound past the vine, the roads are wet. you can see the police at this point off to the side. we've got an accident on the schuylkill expressway, eastbound near broad an accident where a single vick flipped over completely on its roof, the driver was injured. just a sign what can happen on wet roads. watch for that accident and crews on the scene on the schuylkill expressway westbound near broad street. in south philadelphia, another bad accident in new jersey, it's burlington county, right on 130 northbound at grove fill road we have an accident involving two
tractor-trailers, one of the drivers had to be extricated and taken to the city hospital, a serious accident in burlington county. southbound traffic on the boulevard heading toward the schuylkill expressway moving okay, but expect a slower go today. >> starting off with a couple of stories in delaware. the first one is breaking news, three people were injured in a fire at a town home community in delaware. firefighters rushed to the inner block of river drive and christian, heavy fire was coming from the back of the townhomes, you can see it there on the action cam. that quickly spread to neighboring homes. all three people injured were rushed to christiana hospital. no word on their conditions, "action news" is gathering information on this fire in delaware. two people are in critical condition after being struck by a car in delaware. this happened on the 800 block
of basin road in new castle. state troopers believe the car was traveling eastbound when it hit the man and woman in the roadway. the driver stopped nearby. another person was struck an killed in the same area just a few weeks ago. this crash is under investigation. a driver was injured after there car crashed and rolled over on the schuylkill expressway. this happened on the eastbound lanes of broad street in south philadelphia at 3 coal 30. the driver lost control which caused the vehicle to roll over and end up on its roof. driver survived and is in stable condition. 50:04. something is making harold tore students to settle back into campus life at st. joe's, instead they find themselves on alert worried about a rash of armed robberies near campus. katherine scott has this report. >> we took the precaution to
drive instead of walking. >> reporter: students at st. joe's university are taking extra precautions after robberies have taken police at gunpoint. >> we're concerned as the school year starts out, people who live off campus pay attention to your environment. >> reporter: all four cases occurred between 8:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. police are looking for two to four teenagers on bikes between the ages of 14 and 17 carrying a handgun. >> one case, two people walking together, the other three are individuals walking by themselves in that area. >> reporter: katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> an abused puppy remains in critical condition someone abandoned the dog in a duffle bag in the city of chester. spca workers are calling the pitbull duffy she was rescued from pulaski park yesterday.
animal care workers say it is touch and go. spca said donations can help along with anyone who knows who left duffy in a bag to call them with information. >> a sign outside a montgomery county church has sparked discussion about race. 100 people gathered to talk about race, it began when the minister sparked black lives matter, that changed to a response said we heard you can we talk. >> i want to know why you attack each other over three words black lives matter. >> the church hopes this is the beginning of dialogue in the future. >> a multimillion complex at

lightning an issue but neff downpours, not an overabundance of strikes. we have some strikes. as we leave you with the wide view there's more showers and clusters. not a great morning to be out on the boards as the lightning can jump inlnld. we have wet conditions even where it isn't raining in philadelphia. that would include the i-95 area and we have active rain along i-95. even where it isn't raining we have wet conditions on the roads and spray on the windshield. 74 in wilmington. 70 in allentown. 77 in cape may. it is muggy out there. future tracker 6 shows you once we get finished with the current batch of rain, more comes in during the lunch hour. some pockets of heavy producing

grove you got a soaking into cherry hill. the roads are wet this morning. matt and tam. >> new on "action news," a driver in michigan is behind bars, police say the man intentionally ran into a firefighter standing in the road collecting money for charity. 24-year-old dennis rodeman died friday night before being hit in lancing. there was an argument and the men turned around struck the man and took off. rodeman was just married two months. two were scene on home security footage kicking down the door. they left behind a receipt from their purchase from a nearby subway. police thinks they bought sandwiches to calm down the dogs. the piece of airplane contained
